Hi, I’m Kimberly and I’ve been an actor since I was 5 years old. I used to dress up, talk to my imaginary best friends, and put on “plays” in my family’s living room so much as a kid that my parents put me in an acting class to see if it would be something I would like…. This was in Maryland, and before they knew it, I was being recommended to people in New York City and they were commuting to take me to auditions. I did some print, commercials, and booked my first Broadway show at the age of 7. Fast forward some 20+ years later, and I still love being an actor and can’t imagine doing anything else with my life.

 

Along the way, I’ve been blessed to have been able to try my hand at a little bit of everything. Television, Film, Soap-Opera, Voice-Over, Stage, Workshop Readings, you name it. I’ve been in an indie film that was made for a very small budget and wound up at the Sundance Film Festival and later the Golden Globes/Oscars, and have worked in huge budget studio features. I’ve also struggled through auditions, made it down to the wire on endless amounts of projects, and been told “we loved her, but….” more times than I can remember…Such is the amazing roller coaster ride that is this crazy business.

 

I also took some time off from being in front of the camera and went to college for a Bachelors Degree in Business. In that time I interned in a talent management office and talent agency for school projects-I loved being able to see what goes on from the rep’s perspective. More recently I’ve worked in film production development/producing so I could see how a film is put together from the earliest beginning stages.

 

I ALWAYS get asked questions about the business when I’m out, from friends and complete strangers. I have a unique perspective because I’ve seen the entertainment business in so many different lights: as an adult and child actor, in front and behind the camera.  I started doing private coaching because I wanted to be able to help people with real information that’s not being given with an ulterior motive. You’d be getting honest advice from someone who has lived it for over 25 years!

 

I have some clients that want to work on strictly auditions and acting coaching, and others who are in various stages of starting out and need help with resumes, reels, and how to best to approach submitting to reps. I can help with all of it! I’ve trained with some of the top acting coaches like Ivana Chubbuck, and also studied improv for years at schools like UCB and Second City.
